I am Mansoor Ali. Most people know me as AliShanMao.
I started making RC videos in 2006 in China, where I was working as an English teacher. It was simple — just me, a Nitro RC truck, and a camera. No plan, no strategy, just sharing what I was enjoying. Somehow that turned into nearly two decades of RC content that has reached millions of people around the world.
Along the way I covered pretty much every corner of the RC hobby. Nitro trucks and cars, RC planes and jets, RC helicopters, long range FPV flights, custom drone builds, GPS helicopters — if it flies, drives or floats with a radio controller, I have probably built one, crashed one, repaired one and made a video about it.
I worked with RedCat Racing USA as their China Operations Manager and content creator — hired directly because my organic videos were already driving their global sales before they even contacted me. I attended major RC expos annually in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen where factory owners recognized me, flew me in, and knew that one AliShanMao video could make their product globally known overnight.
I became one of the early pioneers of long range FPV flight — literally walking fields with a directional antenna backpack, goggles on, tracking my aircraft by turning my own body. My how-to tutorials on long range FPV built a massive following at a time when almost nobody was doing it. I built and sold custom drones from home worldwide under onlyflyingmachines.com — hand building every single unit personally, responding to every customer within 30 minutes regardless of time zone. I designed the world’s first tilt rotor FPV racing drone.
My knowledge of drones and flight systems reached beyond the hobby community. The Thai Royal Navy Rear Admiral became a follower and a contact — I shared my long range surveillance drone knowledge with them as a genuine gesture of friendship, which led to some of the most memorable experiences of my life visiting Thailand as their guest. Military and government followers from multiple countries have been part of my audience for years — people I often did not even know were there until they reached out.
In 2016 to 2018 in Dubai I co-founded Sanad Academy with a local partner, where I designed traditional and VTOL flight theory for drone operations and trained drone operators for UAE government entities including Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Ministry of Defence, DEWA, Dubai Police, Dubai Customs and Dubai Military. The academy received high praise from various government and commercial entities during my time there.
I was also the first pilot to fly an electric powered paramotor in UAE — a design I built and perfected myself over 6 years, now available as the E-Glide V4 on my store. I scratch built a 3 person electric powered boat with twin engines, designed my own marine outboard engine, and built a DIY underwater electric diving buddy — all from home, all from scratch.
And through all of it, one thing never changed — I never faked a review, never pretended something was good when it was not, and never stopped sharing everything I know for free with the RC community.
Today I design and sell my own original RC products and helicopter fuselages — highly scaled, functional designs that give GPS helicopters a completely new identity. IronBear, WarKroc, SkyMule, Airfox, Lamantis — each one designed by hand, tested in my own yard, sold as digital STL files so you can print and build your own. I also designed the RDSS — Real Drive Steering System — a 3D printed steering wheel controller that connects to any RC vehicle radio and gives you a real driving feel. Every product I release is something I actually use and believe in.
On social media, my YouTube channel has 327,000+ subscribers built entirely organically since 2006 — not a single dollar spent on promotion. My Instagram has grown to over 550,000 monthly views and climbing, with individual videos reaching 140,000+ views and genuine engagement from a real RC and tech community worldwide. My Substack newsletter reaches 1,200+ subscribers directly by email. My content reaches a genuinely engaged global audience across USA, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa every single month.
I hold an official UAE Advertiser Permit issued by the National Media Authority — legally licensed for content creation, promotions and paid campaigns. I operate through CreaTec Solutions FZ LLC registered in Ras Al Khaima UAE.
